I was blown off a production platform in bad weather during normal duties while offshore several moths ago. It took many hours for rescue because no one knew I was in the water for what seemed like an eternity and as far as I could tell the boats dispatched to find me were many miles away. I came close to hypothermia, circled by sharks and no I'm so traumatized I have severe ptsd. Nightmares, hydrophobic and several other mental issues have kept me from working in the Gulf of Mexico anymore. Severe flashbacks and dulled senses due to intense anxiety meds keep me from going out in public in months. I live like a hermit. I can't stand water on my skin or near me. Company drs say ill be fine eventually. My company, Fieldwood Energy is trying to fire me and deny me any benefits. I feel lost and hopeless more so now than the eminent death I felt adrift. Please advise.
