I signed a 6 month contract for an apartment in Aachen, Germany and paid 2 months "Kaution (Deposit)" of 2600 earos. The contract I signed was in German and not translated to English. In one section it states that small house pets are allowed with permission then at the very end of the contract it states "House pets not allowed".
We have a small dog (Yorkshire terrier) and on Monday 4th April 2016 the landlady called the Housing agency and said the dog would be okay, then in the afternoon she changed her mind and said the dog would not be okay. So she is asking for the dog to be removed knowing that my Fiancee will also have to move out with the dog. She is basically ensuring we leave the property and therefore breaking the contract and she is now saying that we may well not get our deposit (Kaution) returned to us. Could you please help us and let us know where we stand with regards to this?
Thank you in advance.
